fighting to stay positive
Jan 2,2013. I slipped on some ice and broke my right wrist at work. May 6, 2013. I was ejected from a 6' ladder and shattered my right heel. Being a dad and the head of house hold. The depression is so hard! 72275_4379906300436_403286242_n.jpg…

cool rush of blood to my ankle
hello i broke the bottom of my tibia in 2004 then had the plate and screws removed in 2007 to releive the pain caused by some crooked screw heads at my ankle contacting the inside of my work boots. then in 2010 i broke my femur, the bone is healed fine but i still have a torn acl awaiting repair. my question today is about the cool sensation i get by my ankle flowing down into my foot i get when i stand up from being seated, it feels like a cool rush of blood. it happens quite consistantly…

Broken arm
I have broken my right arm 3 1/2 months ago. I did not have surgery. Therapy twice a week. Would it heal faster if I had had surgery. Still very painful.

The beginning
Nine years ago, exactly after the death of my father, I was in the back of my house trimming a trumpet vine with a brand new electric sheers.....plugged into my outside wall propped over my pool and over my fence into the back alley using one of those orange chords from Home Depot. I accidentally cut through the cord with the trimmers, got down off my ladder and got some hand metal sheers to finish the last maybe 2 feet......not thinking, I failed to unplug the remaining live wire from my…

Advice
I'm wondering about experience of people who have had serious ankle breaks. I'm in my 3rd week after surgery which included a palte and several screws but the ligaments/tendons are OK. Thanks.

Sprained or Broken?
I have a strange question. I think I sprained my ankle yesterday. It hurt when it happened but doesn't hurt hardly at all just looks really bad. Is it possible that it could be broke some where but I just don't feel it? This hasn't ever happened to me before. I don't have insurance so I didn't go to the doctor, plus like i said it doesn't even hurt that bad.

More painful than I could have imagined (and I think more than when I broke my ankle). But a step missed and carrying stuff up the stairs created this situaion. Doctore indicated that I will need to be patient (given the thought that a conservative approach is being used) and let time heal it. This is the second cast as first one was on for 3 weeks. Will keep this blog up to date.
Broken Elbow!
I had a snowboarding accident yesterday and I broke my elbow. I was coming down the mountain and hit a jump and tried to do a 360 and didnt land it. I went to the ER and they said it was broken in 3 places and would require surgery. They put a long arm splint on and gave me a sling to wear and said surgery would be on saturday. After surgery they said I will have to wear a long arm cast for 6-8 weeks and then a brace after that. The pain is really bad but they gave me pain killers. Wish me a…

8 Months of AGONY
So i don't know if you remeber ny first post but it was a couple months ago. If you don't or are new here is a little backround. So i was playing in a regionals volleyball match. There are 160 courts in one big room, each one lined with big holed mesh.(like soccer nets) So i was running for the ball when my foot got tangled up in the mesh and i feel on my right wrist going for the ball. That was April, the first doctor thought i broke my scafoid, but i didn't after looking at one MRI and…

Walking the dog
Broke my ankle about 10 days ago, while walking my little boston terrier on a country trail. Good ol' Wisconsin winters, I slipped on some ice and down I went! It all happens so quickly. I called my daughter and she came and got me and took me to the ER. Since I was on a country trail, hundreds of yards away from the main road... I ended up having to army crawl on my stomach for what felt like an eternity. Haven't had to have surgery, happily. I fractured my left ankle in three…

Runner recovering from broken leg and injured knee
Back in October, I broke my femur, and tore my MCL and ACL in a dirtbike crash. My life was turned upside-down after that event. I moved out of my apartment because I couldn't take care of myself anymore. I had everything going for me; making money at a great job, getting my life back with my friends, and I wanted to get back to running half marathons. Also, I've been a competitive runner throughout high school and college, and then trained and competed on my own after that.
I was…
